Greece Trip

Greece

April 2016

In April 2016, Todd, FBI and US Department of State staff traveled to Athens to present training on antiquity theft and trafficking. The training was attended by about 40 Greek police, Customs and Ministry of Culture staff. The U.S. Ambassador gave opening remarks and was followed by the Minister of Culture for Greece.

Following the training, Donette (who accompanied Todd on the trip) and Todd visited the Acropolis Museum, Acropolis, Agora and other historic sites. They also did a handful of climbs on Filopappou Hill.

2018

In the fall of 2018, as part of their three-month Balkans tour, Donette and Todd visited northern Greece. They met Scottish friends at Meteora, where they climbed and visited a number of the amazing monasteries. At Meteora, Todd and Donette completed one new route, Apple Crumble. The name was inspired by the huge box of apples they were given by their Bulgarian friend and the nature of the rock on the route!
