Scotland & England – April 2023

Donette and Todd spent the later part of April and early May, 2023 catching up with friends in the United Kingdom. They first visited folks throughout Scotland before heading south to England. More old friends were seen in the Lake District before Donette was introduced to gritstone climbing in the Peak District. In addition to cragging at Stanage, Froggatt and Curbar, pilgrimages were made to other famous outcrops. The duo also had a wonderful visit with Martin Roberts, the owner of Titan Industries in Sheffield, the maker of titanium bolts for climbing. 

From the Peak District, it was back north through Yorkshire to then walk a section of Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland. Following that, more friends were seen in Scotland before the flight home from Edinburgh.
